Process of verifying the results of the vote in Guatemala (the state in Central America) is flawed because of the lack of transparency of the results: volunteers who read the results of the vote receive this information on a flash drive, which means that the flash drive may be manipulated until it falls into the hands of volunteers.
Solution to this problem was proposed by Carlos Toriela Herreras - an activist and supporter of the introduction of blockchain technologies in various areas of our lives, but the application created by him also worked on an imperfect system, because the information was potentially compromised.
Free TON community has reached out to users to address the issue of voting transparency in Guatemala. To do this, the first phase of the contests was held to create a decentralized solution where participants had to describe their solutions.
